If you are anything like me, you understand that looking beautiful is imperative. However; without access to personal shopper’s, makeup artist, and hairstylist, the lay woman is left confused and bewildered. I have compiled a list of simple tricks that any lady can implement within a moment’s notice for that

Hair Gel

Always keep a jar of hair gel in your lady kit arsenal. When you are pressed for time, use some gel and pull up your hair for a sexy ponytail. Short hair divas can achieve this look by swapping the ponytail holder for a headband. Gel the edges of your hair and slip on the headband. Sleek and Chic!  Additionally, No matter how beautiful you are, if your hair is a mess, you are a mess.

Foundation

I advise springing for your foundation. I mean, it goes on your face.It is so important that you have the right color foundation. Now, this may take a little time at the mall with the consultant who does your makeup for free, but it is worth it. She is paid to do makeup and is more than likely good at his/her job. Take advantage of this service. A good foundation is just that, a foundation for you to build on. Additionally, foundation doubles as primer for lids. Dab a very small amount of your foundation on your lids before applying eye shadow for staying power and a more pronounced look.

Eye Shadow

 Stop the guessing game and take a cue from the experts. Find the kits that come with the different shades that bring out your specific eye shade. 

Eyeliner

You can use pencil or liquid. I use black, but if you have a lighter complexion, I would advise using dark brown. Practice lining your eyes, you can erase it easily with petroleum jelly.

Eyebrows

I recommend using a powder and brush, it looks more natural than a pencil.

Hair

Pantene works on a variety of cultures hair and is economical and accessible. I have been told by my stylist many times that just because a product is expensive, does not make it a more quality product. Protect your hair from heat with styling aids.

These tips will help you always hit the mark when you are trying to look your best. If you take a little time to buy these essential items, you will save time and of course money.
